Homemade sugar body scrub recipe

The consistency is up to you, generally I prefer a body scrub that holds form, not a liquid.
You could make a liquid body wash scrub and dispense in a reused pump bottle. If you then decide its too liquid-like add more sugar.

Medium jars worth about 1 cup

Preparation Time:
5-10 minutes

All skin types, ideal for sensitive, dull and blemishes. Supports healthier, glowing skin, while replenishes moisture, hydrates and nurtures.

3. Alternative suggestion try adding - essentials oils, lemon, orange, honey, aloe vera, cucumber, salt and or natural colour (for some fun).
To really stepping up the game, try coffee. You will need to replace some sugar if not all with previous used coffee granules - so lush!

Part of the fun of DIY all-natural beauty is trial an error, try ingredients and find out what suits you and your skin.
Some people prefer a type of sugar over another for ethical reasons.
Growth, cultivating, fair trade, organic, no additives, white, brown...??
Personally I love an organic coconut sugar.
Other types of sugars you might try:

{ Listed from the finest to the most coarse }
Brown Sugar
Most brown sugar is white sugar with molasses added. Look for details on the packaging for explanations regarding additives.
Coconut Sugar
Coconut sugar is also called coconut palm sugar. The truth is its not dissimilar to any other sugar, whilst it does contain slightly higher nutrients it comes down to personal preference.
Raw Sugar
Raw sugar has coarser graduals compared too a finer option, raw 'caster' sugar. The smaller the graduals the lighter the scrub will be on your skin. Play around with different sugars, substitute salt or coffee grounds. You might prefer a more vigorous body scrub or a softer one.
Turbinado Sugar
Turbinado sugar comes from the first pressing of sugar cane it therefore sustains the natural nutrients.
