The switch to 100% renewable energy is a necessity for the sustainability of the planet. Renewable energy will help to eradicate the greenhouse gases that are causing air pollution on a global grand scale.

To reduce, use fewer fossil fuels or eliminate them altogether planning is essential.

Coal and gas demand will diminish, it has too or the world we live in will diminish.

To stop the consequences of climate change and global warming solar technologies, clean energy and green power options will need to be addressed, financed, implemented, executed and maintained.

Focus on solar radiation, kinetic energy and geothermal energy with large scale solar the backbone to the entire green energy and renewable energy.

Why is geothermal energy a renewable resource? Its source is the almost unlimited amount of heat generated by the Earth's core. Even in geothermal areas dependent on a reservoir of hot water, the volume taken out can be reinjected, making it a sustainable energy source.

How is renewable energy stored?

At this present time, the greatest renewable energy which is able to be stored is provided by hydroelectric dams. Renewable stored energy means, energy is produced and can be stored for later use. A device that stores energy is an accumulator or battery.

In Spain, there is a parabolic trough solar thermal power plant that stores energy in tanks of molten salt so that it can continue generating electricity when the sun is not shining.

Generally, solar wind power generation is non-dispatchable due to its fluctuating nature, which means it is used as it is created and can then be distributed else when. It can not be switched on and off to meet demands but rather is created and distributed as the sources, wind and sun controls.

Batteries are ever-advancing as a means to store solar and wind power, home solar batteries are recently new and immanent technologies, advancements and updates will be available soon.

Whilst solar and wind can be stored, storage systems can level out the imbalances between supply and demand that this causes.

Household Solar energy

As stated above household solar power batteries for storage are relatively new.

At this present moment, most household solar storage batteries can only store 5-10 hours. If the weather does not permit power generation, ie it is cloudy or raining running a household of solar power alone becomes impossible.

This being said installing solar panels and a battery to store power will provide you with a drastic drop in your power bill.

Household solar panels do create emissions, in relation to fossil fuels when they transported to homes and they use some resources that in manufacturing releases greenhouse gases. This being said they are far less pollution than fossil fuels and are the best renewable solution for a sustainable future along with wind power and hydropower.

Electric Cars

An electric car runs off electricity rather than fossil fuels.

Electric cars were popular in the late 19th century and early 20th century, until advances in internal combustion engines, electric starters in particular, and mass production of cheaper gasoline vehicles led to a decline in the use of electric drive vehicles. - Wikipedia

The electric cars of today are mostly for the purpose of reducing green-house emissions which are produced by fossil fuel driven vehicles. Switching to electric cars that are power by renewable energy will improve air quality, reduce green-houses gases and lower emissions.

Yet at this present time, the batteries of the electric car are still something which needs figuring out.

Electric cars rely on batteries to store power. The most common cost-effective type due to overall life span efficientness is lithium batteries. There is estimated that there are sufficient lithium reserves to power 4 billion electric cars. Is this a problem? Up to 50% of the lithium is available to be recycled if disposed of correctly.

Recycling lithium costs five times as much as extracting virgin material. Hence, only 5% of lithium-ion batteries are recycled in Europe.

Lead batteries are another option, less popular due to their restrictive life spans compared to lithiums longer life spans. Lead batteries offer a cheaper alternative.

Lead batteries are said however to be more easily recycled than their lithium alternatives, up to 90% can be recycled.

Industry Solar Power

As countries become self-sufficient in their power generated energy resources they will become more sustainably secure.

Global economies now more than ever before will become reliant on sustainable sources to strengthen their economies. Strengthening energy sources, less importing of fuels will inevitably create fuel security and independent economic strength.

Green energy technology is already working, offering affordable solutions and positive possibilities. Yet while we are so close to sustainable change the Earth is demanding we work faster. The clock is ticking, our eyes are open.

A Green Energy Global Future Plan

Simultaneously with creating green energy is to make sure we create a wholistic global warming plan. 

The effects that have already been caused and we need to plan for what is to come before any sustainable effects can turn back the clock.

Oceans and waterways need cleaning or plastic and waste, the earth, soil and agriculture needs decontaminating and sustainable planning as does the air.

Every action, every creature, ever waste management and life cycle must be consulted, monitored and the key issues dealt with or the climate, environment, people and every living thing with suffer.
