Rule: Eyebrows create a flattering frame for your eyes, clean up stray hairs and fill in the gaps with an eyebrow pencil.

Tip: Brush brows up first then over.

Current runway trend are natural brows and the appearance of effortlessness is the key, see: pinterest/brows.

Rule: Cover up dark circles they make your eyes look small. Concealer can illuminate the entire eye area, include covering the eyelid.

Rule: Use an eyeshadow without any shimmer as a base, applying all over your eyelid up to your brow.

Tip: For an even better end result use eye cream and a primer.

Apply an eyeshadow brush with medium pressure for your eyelid and light pressure for your crease.

We love: Charlotte Tilbury 'Colour-Coded Eyeshadow Palette', Dior 'Skyline Diorshow Mono Eyeshadow', Elizabeth Arden 'Little Black Palette Trios', Kevyn Aucoin 'Eyeshadow Duo' and SUQQU 'Blend Colour Eyeshadow'.

Rule: An essential though somewhat confusing with the current runway trend is a no mascara look. Don't be fooled no mascara actually means you should use a clear mascara.

Two coats are a must no matter which mascara you choose.

Tip: Let the first coat dry before reapplying.

We love: Marc Jacobs Beauty 'Omega Lash Mascara', BBROWBAR 'Luscious Lash Oil', Lancome 'Grandiose Mascara', Maybelline 'Full 'N Soft Waterproof Mascara'and Bobbi Brown 'Eye opening Mascara'.

Black pencil eyeliner: Apply when the first coat of mascara is drying.
Draw the line from the center out thickening at the outer corners.
Liquid eyeliner: Preferred if time is on your side, don't rush it.
Alternate option: There is always a navy or pop eyeliners - give them a try.
White pencil eyeliner: Defines brows, brightens the corners of eyes and when eyes are lined with white eyeliner makes them appear larger.

Tip: Leave eyeliner in the freezer before sharpening and it won't crumble. This will also help with drawing on your lids.

We love: Estée Lauder 'Double Wear Infinite Waterproof Eyeliner', Shu Uemura 'Calligraph: Ink Liquid Eye Liner', Charlotte Tilbury 'Rock 'N' Kohl Liquid Eye Pencil - Bedroom Black', Laura Mercier 'Longwear Creme Eye Pencil' and Benefit 'Eye Bright Pencil'.

Rule: Add a dot in the corners of your eyes and heavier amount above the arch of your brows.

Tip: You basically want to get the areas where the light naturally hits, but not overdo it.
